Topic: Project update thread: Comet 9

Hello everyone! This thread is about my upcoming film called ‘comet 9’. It’s in the early stages of pre-production, and I plan on making it a 3-5 minute film. Here is a brief description.

Title – Comet 9

Genre – Sci-fi, Action

Plot - detective Ted Jones gets assigned to research big operation in a warehouse called Comet 9. (still in progress) 

Like I said, it’s in the early stages of pre-production. Please give feedback, it will help me out a lot! mini/smile

No offense, but from your description of the plot this sounds like one of the thousands of generic action brickfilms out there.  However, if you to the right way with this, it could turn out to be really great.  Personally, I think a huge warehouse is the perfect setting for a thriller-type film, with lots of suspenseful moments, rather than just having a guy run in and shoot everything.  Still, whatever you do, I'm still interested to see how this turns out.

Like I said, it’s in the early stages of pre-production, so a lot of things are going to change. and i will not make this into a walk-in-and-shoot-everything movie mini/smile thanks for the comment!

Not exactly one of those films that deserves a project update thread. It's just pointless hype, and you don't even have a firm grasp of what your film is going to be about. And, from the looks of it, it seems like you don't even have a script yet. Once you get farther in your progress in your film, you should make a project update thread. At the moment, it's just pointless.

I have to agree with JK on this one, you're not actually even in pre-production yet. The stage you'd be considered in is early development. Pre-production requires to have a full, firm grasp on what the story is going to be and you need to have started on things like screenwriting, character designs, early concept art, etc. Which does kind of make the update thread pointless, as JK said.

But on the up side though, what little you do have does sound interesting, despite it being very generic. I'll be sure to check it out when it's done.

yeah, i know. i DID have a script but i thought it was pretty bland, so i gave up on the idea.. i will repost this thread when i have all of the script done. or even half of it.. thanks anyway guys!
