From now on, we need to do themes that are challenging! You must film at least 30 seconds! If you agree press the (+)!
No.
I've always liked that there is no minimum time limit.
Some animations do not need 30 seconds.
And making a thirty second film in a short time is very hard (when editing and set building too).
(Also, this isn't YouTube) He he.
Editing my film. My sister's making music. Coming along nicely. ![]()
Here is my (short) entry:

(when editing and set building too).
But that isn't really anything to do with how the actual animation comes out like. I understand that sometimes people want to make a mini film out of it while doing that, I do that myself. But I don't think we should have extra extended deadlines because people wasted the first week set building. If you can fit set building in within the time limit, then that's great, but I disagree with making the deadline longer for stuff like that. But you already made the sets before hand for your film (you used them in 'making an entrance' didn't you), so I see why you want an extension, you haven't wasted time building. Editing probably isn't essential, but it does certainly make the entry a better film.
I'm excited about seeing your entry though. 'The Entrance', right? I hope you finish in time.

I guess that is a good point.
I still would hate a thirty second limit. There are plenty of wonderful animation challenge entries under thirty seconds. ![]()
Even if I don't finish editing completely, I'll probably upload an incomplete version and finish it later, hopefully before I go to Brickfair during the weekend.
I've been having a little trouble finding out when the contest ends though. ![]()
I've tried Google, but it doesn't seem to think a CMT time zone exists. ![]()
Does anyone know how long exactly in hours and minutes it will be until it ends?
If you agree press the (+)!
This is not youtube.
And as far as having a time minimum, I think that's a silly idea. As it is the amount of entries per challenge are decreasing, and if we make it even harder then this thread could die.
Just my cents worth.
I was kind of far off from finishing sound design, so I just rendered what I had and I'm uploading right now. ![]()

Here you go, chaps. ![]()
Sorry that it's not completely done. ![]()
I'll try to finish it before I go to brickfair in the weekend and release a public video. ![]()

You set the video to "private" instead of "unlisted."
Yes, I did.
I made it viewable to those who need to see it. I don't want to spoil it for everyone.
But if you'd like, I'll put you on the list. ![]()
And I'll consider anyone else's request.
But I'd much rather everyone wait until its official release. ![]()
I'd advise that you put this at least on "unlisted." The reason being is because this challenge is to also help others improve on their animation and seeing yours might help them.
Still, everyone could see it in a few days. ![]()
Anyway, I went ahead and made it unlisted.

True true. Anyway, I tend to like your animating style. The animation was very solid. One thing I would change though is the length of the sword deflection shot. It tended to drag on in my opinion. Still, a quality entry.
That was great ANP. As JP said, the sword deflecting the bullets was a bit long, but it was still very good.
I think that the thing I liked the most was the flips and stuff. They were very well done.
