Why should he do this if he doesn't want to and if his audience likes it? And don't get me wrong here, I don't like his videos at all, except for the last one, so I'm not defending him here because I'm a fanboy.
Juggernaut Pictures wrote:Do some people think it's funny? Yes, 200,000 people do, but that doesn't exscuse the fact that he needs to improve on some aspects.
Everyone can improve on certain aspects, I never claimed otherwise. What is your point? That he's not 100% perfect?
Juggernaut Pictures wrote:And I know nothing is wrong with entertaining your audience, that's the point in making films, however, you can experiment with different ideas or new techniques like actual filmmakers do (Maybe not to their level, but the same rule still applies).
Yes he CAN do this, but why is that a requirement? How does his unoriginality render him not an "actual filmmaker? And what rule? That you MUST experiment? Since when is that a rule?
Juggernaut Pictures wrote:With the pixel motion thing, he can use it, but what are you really gaining from it?
Better looking animation. Obviously.
Juggernaut Pictures wrote:Sure, your animation looks more realistic (If you use it correctly), but what I find when I make brickfilms is the satisfaction of creating realistic animation with manual labor; the many hours sitting at your desk bored to death just to make a 5min. film, but it's worth it. Sure, pixel motion is work, and it does take some time to learn but I still think actual animation is better, but I guess FF doesn't seem to care about that.
His animation does look more realistic by it, but because you find your way more satisfieing he must do it that way as well? Why? Why can't he make his films the way he wants, even if you don't like it or think "manuel labor" is better?
Juggernaut Pictures wrote:And what do you mean he owns something to us, unless you meant owes, and if that's the case, I don't think he owes us, or more specifcally me, anything, I just want him to improve.
You act as if he owes to us to make something that pleases us or something, reread what you wrote, that's the way it comes off. And you want him to improve. Okay? So just because you want this he MUST do this?
Juggernaut Pictures wrote:I personally don't care for cursing in films, but it can enhance a film if you use it correctly. But for FF, it doesn't enhance his films, it just leads to people turning down the speaker and giving it a TV14 rating (For some people. I know that there are people that find pointless cussing funny, but I don't know what goes on in their heads).
Okay, you have that opinion, that's fine, but that doesn't mean he should adjust to what you think just because you think so, that makes no sense. And yeah, apparently some find it funny, you don't. It's subjective, what is the problem?
Juggernaut Pictures wrote:And with unfunny jokes, I guess some people actually find them funny, while not a bad thing, it's just for his intended audience. But to use the same joke in many films over and over? Doesn't that seem like something a kid would do (Then again, half of his subscribers are kids)?
Jokes YOU find unfunny* (not that I do). Obviously a lot of people think he's funny, and his intended audience is rather large. It's not always the same joke but quite repetitive, yes. So? Apparently it works for the people who like him? And why is repeating jokes something only kid would do? Have you ever seen all the sitcoms out there that are made by adults?
Juggernaut Pictures wrote: And I don't think he should adjust to my taste, but he should make films of different genres once in a while, and some films for general audiences every now and then.
Different genres are obviously your taste, so yeah, apparently you do think he should adjust to you. You contradict yourself in one sentence. He can make what he wants he should not do anything. Again, this is not a discussion about wether or not FF101 is any good, I'm saying he can make what he wants if he wants that. And just because you guys don't like he shouldn't change what he does. Fine if you thinks he sucks, or have an opinion but don't act as if he should change what he does because you'd like to see something else. Don't watch it if you don't like it. I continually express my disliking to Michael Bay movies, but I don't think he should change what he does just for the sake if me, something you guys seemingly think.
EDIT: Anyway, this debate is rather pointless. I shouldn't have partaken. Sorry for spamming the page with useless bickering.
