Hello, I am looking for a cheap animation software that costs no more than £50 or $50. I want one that has the onion skinnin feature and words with a verry cheap webcam. If i had other features such as special effects that would be good. I want to buy it off a website that used £ not $
Well, Helium Frog has onion skinning and a chroma-key feature and it's really cheap! It's FREE.

Monkeyjam is simple, and effective. It's main feature is frame capture. It comes with all possible frame rates, (no halves or fractions) and it's really good. It's compadible with lots of webcameras and other non-webcameras. Though, it does not have Onion skinning. (Onion's happy about that 
) You can choose how many of the same frame you see at one time, and you can preview your animation before exporting. I definentally reccomend it.

Another great free software is Animator DV Simple+. It's not as easy to use as the others, but it has a lot of features, including multi-layered onion skinning, and as far as I know it works with pretty much all webcams.
Check student prices for cheap versions of Stop Motion Pro or AnimatorHD.
Free alternatives are AnimatorDV+ and yeah, Helium Frog.
