Topic: Metamorphosis Update Thread!

Okay, I recently read the short story 'Metamorphosis' by Franz Kafka, and I really enjoyed it. I thought it would make a good film, too. So, I've begun adapting the story into a film script, which I will post when I am finished for critiquing, and I plan on making this into a very ambitious stop-motion. I know for sure I won't be using Legos, because it might be a bit hard to give a lego roach the level of expression required for this film, but I'm not sure what I should do instead. Should I make it clay-mation, or like puppets (like from King Kong and Fantastic Mr. Fox?) I already went to some junk stores and got a bunch of like old gothic-looking dollhouse furniture, and carpet samples, etc. But does anybody have any suggestions about non-lego animation or adapting stories into film?
Thanks!

I think clay would be the best medium for the story. If you were able to find the right puppets, that would work too.
