Re: YouTube

As long as there's less than 30 seconds of the song, you should be okay.

Re: YouTube

Good shtuff, Filmfire.

Since I won the "Walk this Way", I've got 70 Subscribers, 1,000+ views, and about two dozen comments. Purty good, methinks.

Yeah, that's probably the greatest thing about winning that contest. HUGE popularity boost. xD
Wish I had made something now. mini/tongue Probably could have done a decent walk and something creative. Oh well.
Hopefully, I'll have my animation challenge entry on YouTube by Friday morning. mini/smile

If this doesn't win, I can't wait to see what does. xD

Findsounds isn't copyright free, that's like saying Google is copyright free.

Re: YouTube

Right, Findsounds is more like a search engine.

Re: YouTube

Hey, guys, I've noticed some people seem to be able to choose frames for their video. Like they'll have something which wasn't actually a frame in the video or something. So how do you do that?
I've really been wanting to give my videos better display frames from those random three frames from which I have to choose. mini/tongue

Only YouTube partners are able to do that. Wait, aren't you one?

Apparently, I'm not. mini/tongue

I thought having advertizements made you one, but it doesn't. xD
I'll need to apply eventually or something.

But thanks for letting me know. mini/smile

Re: YouTube

You have to actually make an agreement with Youtube to be one.

Ads will also appear on your videos if you use copyrighted music in them.

...but you don't get money from those ones.

If you're a YouTube Partner, you'd know about it. If you're not, you can apply at youtube.com/partners.

Re: YouTube

Yeah I remember when I wasn't a partner I felt robbed because I could only pick one thumbnail out of 3 random ones and usually they were terrible! If a thumbnail looks bad you're definitely getting less views which yet again is terrible!
Just sharin' my memories with you guys...

Re: YouTube

Is there a way that you can choose a thumbnail without having partnership. Like, out of the 3 thumbnails, is one at the start, one at the middle, and one at the finish?

mod edit: Ohai there Mod, you alright?

I have heard 2 different versions:

1) The thumbnails are given almost randomly
2) The thumbnails are from the start/middle/finish.

I don't really know which way it works but once you upload the vid 3 tnails is what you can only get. Unless you're a partner.

Re: YouTube

I'm pretty sure it's number 2.

For anyone who may be interested, my new improved Youtube channel. mini/smile

I dropped the lime green graffiti theme.

Although I liked it, this one seems more professional...

Pretty good. mini/smile
Though, I think it would look cooler if the fuzz where at a top corner, and if it went all the way to the edge instead of dropping off suddenly at the side. And what with the type on the right side?
