Topic: Monkeyjam exported avi not working
I've been trying out Monkeyjam and I built a simple 8 second test movie with an attached audio track to export from the program. I export the movie uncompressed at the original image size (1280 x 960) into My Documents. I end up with a 136 kb avi that reads as 00:00 in any video viewer I've got and I can't play anything. When I try to close it, I have to ctrl alt del my way out to close the viewer and movie.
I've tried reinstalling Monkeyjam. I've tried the program with no compatability settings and with compatibility settings for XP and Vista Packs. I've tried compressing the movie and resizing the export image to no avail. Nothing works.
I'd really like to just use Monkeyjam and export directly from it to take full advantage of its frame ordering and audio track features. I'm not really willing to spend any money on any software. I've tried Helium Frog but it glitches badly on my computer and the developer hasn't offered any more solutions to me via email to fix it. I could use a separate image compiler like Videomach to put a final movie together. But like I said, I want to simplify my operations down to Monkeyjam, and after trying Videomach I think it would be too labor-intensive to use that for compiling while using Monkeyjam solely for capturing.
Please help!
I use Windows 7 and a C910.
