What are your thoughts on personal floating islands, Nathan?
My tree won't go any higher don't worry 
I'll be impressed when you figure out how to use pistons to make that portcullis functional
I'll be trying to hold off working a lot on my castle in general until 1.7 comes out (pistons update). I definitely won't have it drop from the top, because there's not a lot of room and I don't want I don't want it to show above that little pathway I made on top of it. So i might just have it come in from the sides... though it'll look a little weird. At least it'll block out monsters 
VIM: Yeah, sorry, your tower is one of them. You don't have to completely remove it...just everything above the first story. I wanted to give you time to recycle all your materials, and I will give you any glass that you lose.

Rsteen: don't worry, your tree is safe. The new was mostly made to combat the tall and thin towers that were started to pop up.

That sounds pretty rad... a city made up of floating islands joined by bridges. I'm not too brushed up yet on how portals work other than taking you to the Nether and back though...
I've also been thinking up a large undersea glass dome.

Press F1, then record your minecraft. For a very cinematic/smooth film, press F8 with it. For a 3rd person-ish film, press F5 all together with all of those. Hope this helps.

Yo nathan what plans do you have to expand your server at the moment? Building wise.... I think we need to start work on another location as the current town is pretty much full.
