That's called cave noises according to the wiki.  They sound similar to the sounds heard in horror films.  They are heard when the player is close to an area about 3x3x3 that is in total darkness.  Contrary to popular belief, it does not mean a monster is nearby. The reason it was heard is probably because the guy recording it was just above a cave.

I was playing MC Single player survival just now and, just before the sun set a whole bunch of dogs spawned at once for no reason.  I adopted (tamed) one, hence the bones in my hand.

The past couple days have really increased production-wise on my castle. Here's a few screenshots. First up is the entire thing from the front:

Here's the entrance once you arrive at the gate. I just added the fountains today. The glowstone is there to prevent the water from freezing, because I was stupid enough to build this in a winter biome:

Please note that on my server I have marked several buildings for demolition. If your building is marked, please remove it. Otherwise in a week I will blow it up and film it. This is being doing to create a city that is aesthetically pleasing.

Also please note that from this point forward buildings taller than two stories (roughly 15 blocks) must now be approved by myself. I've been seeing too many ugly towers pop up recently.

And yes, before you ask, UniLego, your lighthouse and candy cane are safe.
