I was messing around on Minecraft, and I noticed before you sign in there is an option button. Was does the force update mean?

Okay, if you burn blocks of wood you will get charcoal. Same features as coal.

Flint and tinder. The flint comes from mining gravel. Not sure about the tinder part. You could just dump a block of wood into some lava, that'll work. mini/shifty

EDIT: At least the gravel part was right.

No mcoov, it's flint and steele. You use an iron ingot on the bottom center box, and flint on the left center. You get ingots from mining iron, and flint from mining gravel.

I think I'm going to sketch out some plans for my minecraft mansion on grid paper. I want to incorporate lots of fun stuff with switches and pistons, so it would be best to work it out beforehand methinks, especially with redstone being so fiddly.

Yeah people have said that...it was one of the first buildings I made so I didn't put much variety into it. I'm currently working on a city that isn't just entirely stone.

In 1.7, you will be able to place torches on fence posts as well as cobblestone will have a different texture as seen in this video by Mojang itself.

Notch is planning on releasing an update with pistons separate from the Adventure stuff. 1.7 is no-where near done according to Notch on Twitter. Apparently the pistons update will come soon.

Well Realbrick I have a problem. Macs the f2 key acts as the brightness level control so when i click it it just brings up the brightness.
