Maybe that's because Kung Fu Panda is a more recent movie? It came out 3 years ago while Cars premiered on 2006 (5 years ago). Maybe the kids that actually remember watching "Cars" are now teenagers and are no longer interested in watching Disney cartoon movies?

Is Cars 2 even out yet? mini/confused I though those were just review screenings.

Wow it was terrible! I'm usually the one who enjoys practically any movie but watching this one was such a pain in the butt! Sure I enjoyed the 'fake' trailer but it seems the way this movie actually turned out is God AWFUL! The whole graphic violence is so ugly! It makes me sick!

1/5 - I guess I'd rather give 0 out of 5.

Huh? But you liked Zombie Strippers ?

The difference was that Zombie Strippers had a bunch of gorgeous chicks worth watching mini/smile Hobo with a shotgun had only one. Besides I didn't expect Zombie Strippers to be an entertaining movie while I did expect a lot from Hobo with a shotgun mini/smile it's just that I loved the 'fake' trailer so much I really thought the movie would kick so much butt but it kinda blew... Hauer was also far from perfect in the role of Hobo... it didn't seem right.

Cars 2 is a horrible movie. Kung Fu Panda 2 is a less horrible movie.

If the film was more like the original trailer it would have been way better. But I still thought it was alright.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

I thought Hauer was great, the movie I thought was alright. But I still don't understand anyone liking the putrid pile of mod edit: no thanks Zombie Strippers was.

Is Kung Fu Panda 2 available on DVD yet?

In my defense I wasn't sober when I was watching Zombie Strippers... mini/bigsmile

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

I rather liked Kung Fu Panda 2. It was pretty kewl.

Batman: The Movie
This is the one from like the 60's. I can't tell if it was intentionally cheesy or not, but all I have to say is that I wish they still made movies like these. Lulz

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Cars 2

Despite hearing what other people are saying about this, I didn't mind Cars 2 that much (though it wasn't amazing it was still pretty decent).  I know a lot of people have been bashing Cars 2 a bit since it's release, mainly for it's story.  But, in the grand scheme of things, having pixar make one film that is, well, I guess a bit below or at par isn't that bad when you consider exactly how much time (4 years on average) pixar puts into making their films and how almost all of there movies are generally amazing and very well-done.

So in my opinion, so what if Cars 2 wasn't great?  I guess it means pixar will have something to learn from for their next movie.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

You make a good point. My only complaint about them is that during a documentary on their company, one of the founders said they aimed to show film from odd and unusual perspectives, such as from a bug's view, or under the ocean, or in a 8 year old's bedroom. How are talking cars presenting perspective?

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Die Hard
I thought it was pretty cool. Didn't really love it though. Way too much bad words. mini/tongue
But it's cool to see some fight scenes, a few funny jokes, and explosions. mini/smile

The Matrix
THAT WAS SO EPIC!!! mini/eek
Definitely one of the best movies I've seen in a while. Great story, and amazing fights.
I absolutely love how everything's so over the top. mini/smile Cool outfits, lots of green, and super stylized fight scenes. The camera angles where really nice as well.

If you have not seen this movie, you should right away. mini/smile

The fact also being is that Pixar is well known for making their films emotional (a certain scene in Up made my grandma cry).

Talking cars, like you say, aren't great at conveying emotion or any perspective.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Planet Terror
Such a great zombie film, so damn good.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

The last good movie I watched was Micmacs. The film was beautifully shot, the plot thickened considerably and at a good clip, and the  actors played off each other very well. If you like cheeky revenge plots with multiple players (Ladron que Roba a Ladron, Italian Job) you'd like this film.

Pirates of the Carribean: On Stranger Tides
Eh.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Assault on Precinct 13
Pretty entertaining remake but it's no match to the original by John Carpenter. And it didn't make a lot of sense

Spoiler (click to read)

that the bad guys had helicopters, giant guns, laserglasses, flash grenades but no regular grenades to just throw through the window to kill them?

Also, they took out the notorious

Spoiler (click to read)

little girl murder scene; which was great about the original.
