Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Probably a night scene. Is that a bluescreen or sky? The sets...especially the road could use a little help.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

I agree, I think it would work as a night scene better.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Yep, looks perfect for a night scene.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Well, it's not very very detailed, so it would probably work better to night so it's not as obvious. Also, if you've got some foliage, like green leaves and stuff, I think a few of those on the ground could help the detail some. Along with a skull.

Here's a set that I've been working on for the past few days for The Internet Troll-Pocalypse:

Are you sure you will be able to animate all those characters?

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

I recommend that you lower the camera a bit in the middle frame. It would make the audience feel like part of the crowd and would cut down on all that empty space in the top half of the frame. I do like that lighting set-up, though.

That's the biggest challenge. Most of the dialouge in the scene will be of the guy with the hat on.

That's not actually what the finished frame looks like. I will do what you said, and lower the camera, to make you feel like you're in the crowd. I just used that picture to show the entire set from inside it.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

This is a set from an upcoming film. It isn't a frame though

The stairs: one small step for man, one giant leap for a minifig...:)

... But nicely done!

Good setup, I just hope you don't have the minifig climbing the stairs.

Ice Cream!!! mini/bigsmile
Made with just two pieces: ice cream scoops, and a golden unicorn horn from the Kingdom sets.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

I like the horn as a cone, but I feel like this piece:

would work better as the scoop of ice cream.

Re: Sets and Props Critique Thread

Brilliant!

For years I have searched for an effective cone piece.

Yeah, I feel the same way.
But I don't have one of those in white. mini/tongue
I do have black or red, but that wouldn't be very great. xD

Thanks Brickyman. mini/smile

Strawberry flavour? Hatred flavour? Blood flavour? Coal flavour? Perhaps make a film with an evil ice cream man, who gets his customers to eat ice cream which causes them to succumb to his bidding?

I don't make Brickfilms. I trade virtual hats.
