It seems I'm one of the large crowd that didn't know you personally, but all reviews - yours or otherwise - are one of the best and original parts of this site. Thank you for your incredible contributions, doing more than what was necessary for your role. Good luck with what is to come.
Just wondering, Does anyone consider me one of those silly immature new members making lousy movies?
I think they're talking about me
We need to change. We need to take after the best and achieve better and greater films.
I resigned over a month ago but didn't bother to post this publicly until now
/me looks at the last tweet @BricksInMotion made...
Guess someone was in a 5-month contemplative phase in which not a single submission is added to the recommended list. Why haven't the rest of you panelist resigned? On a 6-month contemplative phase instead of 5?
The Directory should always be a highlight of the better brickfilm animation out there. A popularity rating system is no different from Youtube's way of highlighting uploaded video. It doesn't distinguish dirt from gemstones. The directory is about gemstones.
The automated twitter feed stopped working five months ago. There have been new reviews recently, though they've slowed down somewhat.
I wish we were in a place where we could individually watch everything but there aren't that many "gemstones" submitted. I know I'm not the only person who feels this way, the general reason that panel members have lost interest is because most of what they're asked to watch and even review is shades of mediocrity. I want to rework this so that we only review and feature the particularly good stuff, but we need some system in place for delineating the quality distinctions in the rest of the directory.
