Re: YouTube

OoOoOohhh, you're only a partner on one video, your most popular one. You have to be a full partner to have the little banner.

Re: YouTube

Argh, I guess that's it.

Re: YouTube

Having ads on your video doesn't mean you're a partner. It is possible to apply your videos for ad revenue, and still not become a partner.

You have to apply to be a partner in the first place.

Re: YouTube

Like I have ads on all of my Legah Muuveeys from a way long time ago where I used Star Wars music...

What are the requirements for partnership?

Re: YouTube

this is a question for anyone who has the YouTube partner thing. How much money do you earn on average? Sorry if this question has been answered but i cant bring myself to read 3,000 posts mini/eek

Re: YouTube

And also, when do you get payed? When you earn $100 or monthly?

Re: YouTube

After doing some research it almost always differs. There are millions of different genres and types of videos out on youtube, each earning different amounts of money. It's not like: you become a partner, you don't make any more videos, youtube pays you monthly. It's: you do it, you get it. It counts on your views, likes, etc. After finding a page.. I came up with this, but honestly I don't know if it's true or not:

You'll likely pull around 75 cents per 1000 views.  That's just an average, sometimes it's higher.

but then I found this:

You make $15-20 dollars every 1000 views.

More Research

Animax, to answer your question, it isn't a steady monthly income. I've heard of some partners that make nothing.

Re: YouTube

I really doubt it would be anywhere near $20/100 views at all, that seems like it's way too high. Someone who consistently gets a lot of views, like Ray William Johnson would get near $100k for every video he produces if that were the case, and he makes like a video every week so that would mean he'd get near half a million a year. I doubt he's getting that much.

Edit: I just checked, and it seems like he makes two videos a week, which means he could earn up to $1000000000 a year (assuming he averages 5m views per video), and that seems waaaay too high.

And I had forgotten how bad ray william johnson was until just now -.-

Re: YouTube

Our channel is now eligible for partnership. I'm pretty sure it's only for one video (TMP), but none the less, it's great!

Explain that to many people on youtube that have less than 500 subs, yet are partners.

EDIT: Like this channel Aquamorph (no offence Aquamorph, I'm not saying that I dislike your films.) Still, it's probably only on one video, The Missing Piece.

Ignore my post, I am an idiot.

It seems that I have confused my Youtube Password and Google account password as the same thing.

Re: YouTube

I was going to post this in Noodle's "My Resignation" thread, but I realised that it would be off topic and no one would read it because it's in the Website section.

I don't care about subs and stuff like that. I'm going to make what I want to make, not what others want me to make. Most of the people on YouTube want to be mindlessly entertained and have short attention spans. They like little stupid stuff and don't care for real entertainment. They are interested in mindless humor and nothing else. People who get popular just get lots of people to like them. That's all popularity is, on the Internet or not. When someone is liked, it just make them think "Yayz! Ima important!". All it comes down to is self-confidence. If someone already feels good about himself (which I do), he has no reason to be popular. I'm going to make what I like and see who likes it. I at least want some people to like what I make. I think there could be, and those people will come to me, instead of me going to them.

Not literally dead, just no longer interested in Lego or animation.

Re: YouTube

That's exactly how I feel!

I agree.

That is why I have decided to release anything that doesn't have a very original plot on YouTube, and I'll release my better films here with a Download Link. That way, I have a 2/100,000 chance of becoming a partner, and I still get reviews that matter from people that matter on videos that matter. It's a win-win situation! mini/bigsmile
