I personally just like to sit in silence, check Facebook, YouTube, and BiM every once in a while, maybe talk to some other animators on Skype, and enjoy a few snacks if I have any!

I like to sit and move LEGO men. Sometimes I press buttons to take pictures.
Well, when I animate, I'm just up in my dark room far away from my computer animating. Nothing else. xD
It's good to keep away from distractions, have your total focus be on your project.
I animate other animations while I animate.
I often listen to music, good soundtracks (from great movies).
I basically just animate in silence. I need to count frames to figure how long a movement will be so I really don't do anything else besides concentrating. Sometimes I'll Onion's interviews running in the background but I don't really pay attention to them.
Um... I animate? Not much of a multi-tasking operation is it? 
I listen to music.
Take some pictures. Start again. Give up.

Well. I like to go skydiving, eat living turkeys, battle ninjas, play Super Obama World, drive my horse-drawn carriage, and drink 50 gallons of water every hour while animating. All at the same time, of course.
I jest, I usually listen to music and drink some flavored beverage while animating. The less distractions the better, so I don't usually go on BiM or anything. Unless I'm taking a break. Which happens a lot.
Well, usually, I'm having dinner with Mark Hamill while we converse about his latest voice over projects. He gives me pointers and teaches me how to present myself if I act on camera. I take a picture or two with him for my own personal record, and he opts to sign some of them. Oh, and I animate. Haha. I'm kidding.
I think I used to animate with the telly on or listen to music. That's it, though.

As for me, I animate aswell. I really do.
I like to listen to nyan.cat.
I play music, listen to podcasts and generally get distracted by YouTube videos I never got round to watching.
I end up listing to podcast and old radio dramas. Once I get a computer with internet, I will use Pandora

I play some COD, surf the innerweb, hang with friends... the last thing I'd do is touch little plastic men! 
Oh the wonders of the modern age...
I hum random classical music really loudly.
I listen to music, and have Bricksinmotion.com running in the background.
