hey all
I see a lot of you guys have websites and I was thinking of having one myself 
but
I’m not sure how to go about getting one (I'm not really a techie guy) So how did you make your website? And
Can I make a decent one for free? Because I’d rather not spend any cash or very little.

Learn some XHTML and CSS.
First, you will need a domain like from godaddy.com og iPage.
Then you can visit a page like weebly.com or webs.com and add hosting on that domain.
Domains often costs money, but you can get a free one here: http://www.freedomain.co.nr/
You can also use a subdomain like www.briks.webs.com.
Webs is the most common but of couse there is iWeb for Mac and you can buy Dreamweaver for arounnd $200. I believe Dreamweaver made this site in fact. The only downside to using website builders is that they don't give you a free .COM domain. To fix this go to CO.NR and sign up for it. Then your website will be WWW.MOVINGBRICKS.CO.NR. For Example.
I use Google sites. It's really easy.
Like here is a website for my studios that I started making but I never got around to completing it because I was bored. Link.
The format is really rigid but it's completely easy to use.
I believe Dreamweaver made this site in fact.

Dude, after you get a domain name just be a white knight and buy Microsoft Frontpage. If you can drag and drop (and learn some simple HTML) then you're good to go.

Well, as I know XHTML I am currently designing my own website. As suggested though, you could also use a free site builder like Webs.
I use 1and1, which has a really useful website builder.
I use Webs.com, which is incredibly basic but restricts the use of Javascript and SQL and stuff, which really bothers me. I wouldn't recommend it.
I made mine with Notepad and Photoshop. http://tizag.com has some useful tutorials.
If you don't want to spend any money you could make your own website using notpad/notepad++ and GIMP.
And host it yourself on an old computer.
But how much you pay relies on how much work you put in.
