Topic: youtube copyright question
Alright...so youtube says I can't use copyrighted material. Can I take the music from my Lego Indiana Jones game(that I bought) and stick it in my videos?

Think about it.
Answer: No, sorry.
The music was not created by you, so youtube won't allow it.
Saying that however, there's every chance you'll get away with it, but you cannot use that video for profit.
If by any chance you were to become a Youtube Partner, and even if you did not, as Brickyman said you can not make any profit on that video and they will ask you to remove it.
Well...I'm definitely not going to use it to make a profit...and I have seen other people use copyrighted music before.

When ever you get a video game, you get this big list of agreements you need to read and click the agree button.
Usually, people just click the check box without reading it. I, however, read the whole thing. I'm just sort of weird. xD
Anyway, they usually say this thing about how you've bought the game is only giving you the right to play that game in your home. And it says all types of stuff about how you can only use the game for home use only and how you can't copy the game, the manual, or anything in it.
That would fully include music.
I didn't copy it. I went into the game's dvd files and took out the music.

This is really bad! There was some really cool music in that game that I wanted to use for my MI entry. ![]()

Will they just ask me to take the video off if I use copyright stuff or will they delete my account if they don't like it.

I can use copyright material for 30 seconds per movie?

Meh... I've used Star Wars music a million times (for more than 30 sec.) without getting any warning or stuff, just advertisements.
Some people are more leaneant about it. I would guess since this is Indiana Jones they wouldn't mind too much, with all the John Williams stuff. But the time when I posted a video of Lego Star Wars upcoming sets it was removed and said that if I did that 3 more times they would close me down. So be careful. ![]()
