I think you folks can imagine how annoying that is. Particularly when, as a moderator, you don't have any plans to lock a thread. Posting IBTL images and messages is spamming. If you think a thread deserves a lock, report it and say something like, "Hey, I don't think we really need this thread. Maybe you good chaps could check it out? Love, your neighborhood friendly forum member."

(You don't have to be quite as light footed as that, but the point is that getting a report with "You will lock this for all these reasons I came up with!" is, while better than utterly destroying a thread, still irritating.)

It would be great if people would stop insisting that we lock certain threads. The moderators have the final say as to what posts are reasonable. It's fine to challenge that, but do so in a way that doesn't potentially derail a perfectly good thread. It's really a pretty isolated group at present, but I don't want this to spread out of control. Thanks.

No way, all moderator's IQs are so tiny that they need to be told to lock a thread. Plus, it's fun searching up IBTL gif. images on google and then troll the thread by posting them. [/sarcasm]

Someone seems to be burned by his most recent thread being locked.

I presume you are also being sarcastic, but in case you're not...

Burnt Onions!

But anywho, I must confess I have jumped on the IBTL bandwagon in the past.

Re: Café Corner

@Onion

See its your sarcasm in the post before mine that indicates you would be pissed considering the sarcasm comes directly after being hit with IBTL and other various thread closing statements.  Your post on the last page is just a natural response to your realization of doing something bad in this case creating a bad thread. All you did was attempt to save skin by saying "oh well stupid idea." Though you really thought that such a thread had potential and thought it to be a good concept.  I dont know I guess I could be wrong. That's my half-assed psychological evaluation.

Re: Café Corner

In relation to my post about the lego portal gun, I'm not getting it. It either comes in all black, all white, or all clear. You have to paint it yourself. That sucks.

I can't say I wasn't disappointed with my thread being closed, however I admit I only half-thought about it before opening the topic, which was a kinda dumbass idea. So no, I wasn't saving my skin, although I see how that might be perceived wrongly.

Re: Café Corner

I just thought about this rationally. Why would you want to be "in" before a "lock"?

Hahaha, you forgot that you posted in a forum where (mostly) young teen kids come to talk about random things because of boredom. mini/wink

Because you are then forever immortalised in the forum archives.

Or you get a free pair of manly sideburns.

One of those, I forget.

Re: Café Corner

If you write in a non-locked thread your in the archives as well.

Re: Café Corner

I know.

I was trying to justify my trolling.

I was the first and only one to post a caption for that.

Ironically to the other topic, "in before the lock".
Did I know it was going to be closed? No!

I for one liked the idea that caption contests would be seperated into brickfilms and not-brickfilms.

Not literally dead, just no longer interested in Lego or animation.
