Alas, the server I've been playing on is closing due to lack of donations to keep it running (I would donate but, you know, giving money to people you've never met over the internet is kinda frowned upon...). I could moan about how if the server's owner really liked playing, surely he wouldn't mind paying a few Euros a month to keep it up, but never mind. Here's me having almost finished my castle as well. It's a work of art. I shall share some screenshots when I have them uploaded to somewhere.

Yah guys im not exactly an idiot with computers. I've tried all versions, I can play it in my browser but I want a dload version.
When I click the setup file, windows makes an error noise and thats all.

Yah Max Butcher, I solved it by going into the CMD line and playing it that way, then I created a batch file.
So basically: Make a minecraft folder in C:/
Save the minecraft.jar in there
Make a notepad document in the same folder.
Write this in the notepad
@ECHO OFF
java -Xmx512M -Xms256M -cp Minecraft.jar net.minecraft.LauncherFrame
Then save it as minecraft.bat
then run it.

Probably your comp. I've got the same problem, so don't think it's just you. I'm on fast graphics with a tiny render distance most of the time, and I still get the occasional lag in single player.
My computer is fine, but okay, I'll just whack the graphics on low.

Took some pictures of the city on LegoDude'z server. I started the city around 5 days ago and it has grown rapidly.
(I thought I did resize those pictures but not enough. Oh well, I'll post a few less).

Still expanding the street day by day to keep up on the new structures. After this weekend, hopefully my new big project in the city will be done. Building a big apartment-complex.
And there's still a lot of the city / street you didn't see. I'll post some pictures later when the city has expanded even further.
