Topic: Partner For Co-Production NEEDED - Animation/Experience Required

So as a small minority of you might be aware, myself and Stan (The Lego Man) were planning a series called "The Lie & Contemplations of Harry and Ron"*, however due to a large workload and little time, Stan has sadly been forced to leave the project. That's where you come in. I've written the script for Episode one (And have voice actors*), and am in the process of doing episode two, so throwing this project away is not an option for me. Thus, I need to a new work partner who can animate for it. And not anyone, if you wish to collaborate in this series you need to fill at least a few of these requirements:

1. Good animation skills. Cartoony would be nice.
2. Experience. I would like my partner to have experience with brickfilming.
3. Time. While this is not essentially, I would preferably like the animator to be able to animate regularly, maybe 30 seconds a week.
4. Skype. Again, this is not completely necessary, however having some sort of easy communication (i.e instant messaging) would be helpful.
5. A decent amount of LEGO elements, etc. This is very helpful as it allows me to go further with the script, if you get the gist.
6. Ability to animate dialogue. This is vastly important, as the script involves a good deal of talking.

So if you fit 3 or more the criteria then contact me with some of your recent work (Links, pictures, etc.) and give me a few reasons why you think you'd be a good collaborator. If I think you have a chance, then I'll contact you via PM. All entrants will get an earlier look at the film, even if they don't get the job as a partner.

Thank you for reading, I eagerly await responses.

*1. While they don't have much relevance to the Harry & Ron of Harry Potter, references appear often.
*2. Voice actors thus far include - Hazzat, Jargon (As Harry & Ron), Thefourmonkeys, Filmyguy, Myself, and Stan.

NOTE: I'll be updating the thread when information comes available.

Other information:

Depending on circumstances, I might have different animators for the episodes.

Re: Partner For Co-Production NEEDED - Animation/Experience Required

We could do it. If you look at our recent test http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WQkj1Lc9BDI I think you'll see that we have improved. We have plenty of time, and we are pretty unique when it comes to set building. We don't have skype, but we can still keep in contact. Check out the frame from your upcoming film thread to see some of our frames. We have been able to achieve good cinematography and our effects have improved. So, there's our resume'. mini/wink

EDIT: We can also animate dialog. We have practiced this vastly, and I think that it is one of our strengths.

Re: Partner For Co-Production NEEDED - Animation/Experience Required

I think I'll consider. mini/smile And I seem to meet all requirements but #4.
Depends what the script is, and how much I need to animate.
I also have dozens of voices, which probably would be useful.
I'd like some more info on the script, and such. I also have something I really, really want to put into a Harry Potter film which, as far as I know, I am the only brickfilmer who has the rare piece to do it. It is hilarious. I'm wondering is it could go into this. Please get beck to me soon. mini/smile

Re: Partner For Co-Production NEEDED - Animation/Experience Required

I'm all for this except for the fact I'm gone 5 weeks this summer.

I'd eat you in half if I wasn't playing with Legos right now!

Re: Partner For Co-Production NEEDED - Animation/Experience Required

Well, since summer is near, I would have lot of time. I think I fit all the criteria, but I'm not sure wether I want to do something on my own or collaborate with someone. In any case, I'm considering it.

Re: Partner For Co-Production NEEDED - Animation/Experience Required

I would be able to do this in a couple of weeks. If not animation, I would be able to voice regularly during the summer.

Re: Partner For Co-Production NEEDED - Animation/Experience Required

Well as I have finished my Tales of Yore Entry, and Unlucky 13 isn't really working out, I would love to
co-operate.

Edit - Here is my latest work thingy.

I've gotten better at Brickfilming lately and I'm not working on a thing at the moment!  Honestly, I've always wanted to Brickfilm with you.  Recently I have found loads of free time.  I'm really bored sometimes so brickfilming would be great!  I'm on your contact list for skype.  I have a fairly wide LEGO collection.  I'm really good at animating dialogue.

Re: Partner For Co-Production NEEDED - Animation/Experience Required

Okay, because of the interest taken in this thus far, I'm adding two things to the top of the topic.

First of all, a voting system. As I cannot decide this far in as to who I'd like to collaborate with, I think maybe a polling system might be nice. Basically, people can vote for whoever they think is a worthy candidate to be the afore mentioned 'partner'. Obviously voting for yourself will not count, and it'll just show you up as being pompous and egotistical.

Secondly, A list of episodes. 'Nuff said.

Meh, I don't exactly like that idea. If you're a relatively new animator, with tons of skills, not that many people would vote for you. Well, that is, if they don't know you have those skills.

Yeha, ZP and us are the oldest BiM members that have entered thus far, but it doesn't mean that we are the oldest brickfilmers and/or best. If we are going to have a voting system, how and/or when will we vote?

EDIT: Sorry RobBrick, you joined around the same time as ZP and us.

You can just forget about me.  I'm co-working with StudioL30 at the moment.

You are wrong, Living lego and I are the oldest. Not that I really care, since I'm not sure on what I'll do.
