I can't seem to find a dolly shot rig that will be perfect for me. I have seen some pretty darn good dolly test on here but no one (or at least I can't find one) on here has detailed instructions on how to build one. If you could help that would be GREAT!!!
EDIT: I have a quickcam PRO 9000.
You could super-glue a Lego piece to your webcam so that you can easily attach it to a Lego construction firmly. Or you could consider moving the set, this already gave me excellent results.
One thing to note about a dolly shot, however, is that you should always (whether you're moving the camera or the set) move the thing against a ruler, in my opinion. This is were smooth dolly shots are born.
I shoted a dolly shot once. I only used my tripod and the zoom. It was really hard to make it. But I think you should be great with a train thing or something. And then make something to hold your camera on.
Try searching on the BIM forums(using the search engine) for ''9k cradles'' or ''rigs''. Those threads will probably help you some.

I already have a cradle for my cam I wanted to know if anybody made a dolly cradle.

I already have a cradle for my cam I wanted to know if anybody made a dolly cradle.
I think you can just use the regular cradle for dolly shots.

I just have a regular cradle, I wanted know if anybody has made a dollying cradle. I have a few ideas, only one is an actual cradle...

What I do for a dolly shot is made a group of flat panels on my set that the camera can slide on and then I add a wall to make sure it is against and there you go.
This is my modified version of Seans cradle that I use for dollys.
It uses those pieces you find for the edge of cars in official sets.
(The cradle is upside down too)
What I did in Doctor of the LEGO was just take the sticky tack off my cradle and move it one stud at a time down the baseplate.
It's quite simple. Stick two rulers (or one ruler and something else) to your table with just as much space inbetween that your rig can comfortably sit there. Now it's ready to be slid in small increments until the dolly shot is finished.
I've never managed to get good results with wheels and track. To get a smooth dolly, you need to move the camera in fairly small increments and you just can't get that level of control with wheels. I always use the method that's already been suggested - make a snug-fitting trench out of flat tiles with bricks either side and slide your camera rig in that. And stick a ruler to it somewhere so that you can measure precise movements.

I have the tile rig set up, waiting for me to animate something random and I have made a track all I need to do is test them both to see which works best for me.

It very sturdy and it hasn't failed me! It's really nice, he made it just perfect.
