Honestly - it seems like the equivalent of re-releasing 'Star Wars' in 3D. Sure, fans will watch/buy it - but couldn't they just make something new (that doesn't suck)?

Or, why dont they make a Virtual Console service for the 3DS? Why dont they make it so you are able to play your Wii Virtual Console games on the 3DS? That would be so much better than 'remaking' the game. I mean, the only reason you would buy it is if you want to play it anywhere you want - which is fair enough. I mean, aside from the graphics - what is there to update?

Honestly, I thought re-making a classic game would be considered sacrilege. I'm surprised at the positive response its gotten...

(Also, this is more fuel for the Nintendo haters who believe that the only way they are still making money is by exploiting their old franchises. I'm not one of these people - but I can see why they think that...)

Ever heard of the Water temple? That will be sooo much easier thanks to the items being on the touchscreen.
Also, no, it's not like re-releasing Star Wars in 3D, as they're not just getting the original, and plopping 3D onto it, they're redoing the whole damn thing. And there will be a VC for 3DS, but it'll be for past gameboy games. (Which I can't wait for, I mean, Past Pokemon games, Kirby's Dreamland 1 and 2, Super Mario Land, Links Awakening...etc)

I can't say I've ever been a fan of Zelda, but really, there's nothing wrong with updating old games. Halo: Combat Evolved is getting a makeover for a release on Halo's 10th anniversary, and it sounds awesome, as they're completely rebuilding the game from scratch.

So, anyone looking forward to Battlefield 3? It's going to blow Modern Warfare 3 out of the water.

Not a fan of Zelda? *Gasp*
But it's so...damn...awesome... There'a a great big, huge plot connecting them all and Skyward Sword looks awesome, and some of you may have heard about the secret in the trailer...

I'll probably buy both. MW3 will suck, but you know that most people will buy it anyway.

I dont get how you can completely start from scratch when your re-making/re-releasing/whatever.

You get what I mean though, they're not just getting the game and attatching 3D to it. Oh, forget, they're redoing the soundtrack, oh how I love Zelda music.

I had a go on the new Zelda: OoT yesterday. It's brilliant. Totally getting it.
Plus, it'll have a much better lifespan than Poopywings Resort.

Also, that May 3DS system update is out in a week! Not in May though. Whatevs, I want my web browser.

What I wouldn't mind is if Nintendo tied some sort of code to your Wii, like a PSN account (but without the credit card theft) so that way if you bought virtual games on the Wii, and the same game comes out on the 3DS's virtual store, you enter your ID code, and not have to repay for your favorite games.
