That's a scifi masterpeice, not a B-movie mini/blankexpression

Re: Favourite Selections of the B Grade

Many people have a hard time distinguishing between old and B-Movie. Also, do exploitation/grindhouse movies count?

Me? 'Santa Claus Conquers the Martians', 'Night of the Living Dead', anything by Ed Wood, and I think 'A Fistful of Dollars' might count...

I also really want to see 'The Blob' (even though that was a major studio production), 'Coming at Ya' in 3D', and the original 'Evil Dead' (one of the biggest movie questions: "Evil Dead 2. Sequel or re-make?").

mini/confused  Really?

Re: Favourite Selections of the B Grade

I say that B-Movies are masterpieces of science fiction. They're a lot better than modern science fiction. mini/bigsmile

You probably have not seen all Troma movies. There are some great masterpieces like Cannibal! The Musical, Redneck Zombies, Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead or The Toxic Avenger, BUT there also are movies like Surf Nazis Must Die or A Nymphoid Barbarian in Dinosaur Hell...

Btw: Did you people know, that Llyoyd Kaufman is a huge Stan Brakhage fan. I love this connection with all my heart mini/love

Oh my God yes, that was awesome. I've forgotten about that movie, I saw it with my Grandpa a few years back.

But that doesn't fall under the B-movie category.

Yes. I've heard people call Hammer Horror movies (although their titles are awesomely cheesy), the Godzilla movies (well, they were big productions in Japan), and even King Kong 'B-Movies'.
