So, my adobe after effects 5.0 version doesnt have Motion tracking and a few other things is it because its not the PB?
it's 10 years old
so it 5.0
That's a VERY old version so it's most likely not going to have one of those amazing effects. 
I am hopefully soon getting AE CS5.5!

It's the same version I use.
well in the manual it says lightning and motion tracking PB i guessing thats production bundle
Why don't you try updating it?
Mine keeps asking me to connect to the internet whenever I start it up.
I think it cost's money too update it to newer versions.
No, I mean just update some of the plugins.
i dont know how to update the plugins
