15 certainly seems most popular. So if i overlap all my pictures in WMM i can double the quality to 16 fps.

I've not completed too many animations and WMM seems to be the best for relatively new comers so i'll stick with that.

Once i've done my animation i'll try it at almost the same speed in monkeyjam, see if there's any difference.

The problem for me is, until I get my new program (in a few days) I can't edit the video I just made!! The stupid Windows Live Movie Maker is horrible.

you're probably gettin somethin better in the way of programs anyway, but if you ever want to use WMM, don't use the windows live version. from what i'm told, it's horrible. The older, non-live version works way better.

I use 12 fps now. But after I finish the film I'm working on now, I'm going to upgrade to 15 fps.

12 fps always looks like ass to me, personally. When I first started, I used 10, but the minute I went to 15, I didn't look back. I've actually finished a film in 24fps which, while a little quick in spots, is probably the best thing I've animated ... I guess I should get off my lazy ass and release it. :-<

i use 25fps.  Because i work in tv, i'm used to working with the PAL broadcast standard. It also helps to get really smooth motion.

I shoot singles, and only use doubles when i want to slow down the action. Even if the character is not moving during the frame, i find that by touching the figure very slightly before shooting a frame can give enough movement to register a slight "life" on a motionless figure. Almost as if they breathe.
