Topic: Voice acting over the internet, what is it?

I've seen all over this website stuff about members doing voices of characters in another members brickfilms. how do ya do this, do ya just email a voice as an attachment or what?

It'd help me greatly if I could have other people playing parts in my brickfilms as it is so hard to find voice actors in person, so please tell me what it's all about! mini/wink

Re: Voice acting over the internet, what is it?

Basically, you put up a casting call. What a casting call is, is a short explanation and sometimes a picture of the characters in your film, along with a test line of something they say. If a person wants to audition for a part, they record the test line, and PM or e-mail you the test line that they recorded. A couple people might send you their lines for one spot, and you'll have to pick the one that you like the most. After that, you can e-mail or PM them the script, and they'll do the rest of the lines. They'll send you the lines and POW, you've got voices. Just make sure to credit them mini/wink Hope this helps! mini/smile

I would recommend asking people directly based on performances you've seen in other films.

Thanks Guys, that'll be real helpful in making brickfilms.

I don't wanna be a pest by trying to advertise my brickfilm idea, but would you mind having a look at a thread in pre-production called 'the no. 23 conspiracy'? nobody's commented yet and i'm eager to see what you guys think.

I have read it and think it is a good idea.

New sig coming soon...

Along with brickfilms...
