Topic: Camera or Webcam?

I'm thinking that I was gonna start brickfilming again. The only thing I'm wondering about is this:

I own a Lighitech Quickcam pro 9000 and a Canon Eos 550D. Which one is the easiest for brickfilming. I have done a few films with the pro 9000 already, but both image quality and flixibility is much better with the 550D. Also, for the pro 9000 I can create a cradle for it, so it can be stuck on a baseplate, and I don't know if I could do the same with the 550D

So, which one should I pick?

So yeah, I'm back from my mind.

Re: Camera or Webcam?

In my opinion, nothing beats a DSLR, image quality wise...
If you have live view on your computer with the 550D, it's a no brainer for me => use the canon.

However, you just have to find out for yourself what works for you. I have a LWCP9000, and a panasonic NV-GS320. and although, the image resolution is less on the pana, I tend to stick with that one due to superiour color performance...

Re: Camera or Webcam?

Go with the DSLR and I promise you will not regret it.

Re: Camera or Webcam?

The Quickcam Pro doesn't sell anymore.  And that sucks because it doesn't have white balance.  I would go for a DSLR.

Thanks. BTW do anybody know of any external cables I could use to attach it to my computer?.
