Re: Drawings and other Art

I got the small, and unless you are drawing huge stuff, it's good enough.

Re: Drawings and other Art

What tablet do you think is the best to buy? I love to draw, and I am pretty good at it, but I habe never drawn with a tablet. How does it work?

If you draw with small strokes, you should get the Medium. If you draw with big strokes, you should get the Large or Extra Large. I'm saving up for the Large. Seems like the size for me.

Simple, you take the pen, look at your screen, and just draw on the tablet surface. the image will appear on the screen.

Cool, sounds pretty easy. Is there any recommendations for good tablets? Do you have to have special software?

Usually the software comes with the tablet as an attached CD. If not, then search the internet, and you'll find it.

Re: Drawings and other Art

I used it on my sister's computer problem free without the software.

My shoe, which I drew during math class and finished in GIMP.

So yeah, I'm back from my mind.

Re: Drawings and other Art

Nice job on it overall, my only complaints are the proportions, it looks like you tried to make the bottom and then finish off the top like a cake. Unless you have a perfect visualization, you should begin with the ankle and work your way down. because the foot for that shoe must be very large. I also have to mention that your GIMP coloring job wasn't all too impressive. May I advise you create another layer, color it flat out white, or a very light grey, set it under the drawing, and set the drawing on screen, then you can color it with the paintbrush, that's what I did with that earlier sketch, only in Photoshop.

Re: Drawings and other Art

Ok thanks! Yes, I realize the painting wasn't good but it was my first time so I'll have to work on that. Thanks!:D

Re: Drawings and other Art

I made these when I was 8.  I'm looking around for some of my recent work but this is the closest I could find.

Re: Drawings and other Art

Only 20 dollars away from a drawing tablet. I'm so excited. Thought I might save up for a wacom bamboo fun, which is bigger, but I'm not sure better.

Re: Drawings and other Art

Okay, I think I will get the Wacom Bamboo Fun. The intuos4 looks too expensive and advanced for my needs. Does anybody use the bamboo fun?

Re: Drawings and other Art

I do. It's a decent tablet- more than suited to the needs of anyone less than a working professional.

A random picture I started drawing. I started it as a LEGO brick, and added on, and on, and on.

Fun with my (relatively) new Intuos.

Nice job, looks like a good setting for an animation.

Well, should be hard to animate in there, cause I don't see any studs mini/XD...
That's a really nice job. Is it made digitally or you painted it by hand?

I meant a hand-drawn animation.
