Re: What was the last movie you watched?

There are two kinds of confusing films, the kind where you have to really pay attention or it seems random, and the kind where the whole film contradicts itself. This film fits the latter.

Why? I've only seen the trailer and am curious to what happens and why everyone's saying it's so bad.

I've seen both a really positive review for it (Empire Magazine), and then a really negative review for it (Times Magazine). Then again, Empire said that 'Inception' was the best film of 2010, so I guess they like Sci-Fi about breaking into another persons conciousness when there are no doubt much simpler solutions...
The Good, The Bad, The Weird
Great fun, liked it a lot. My main complaint is that "The Good" wasn't exactly interesting, in contrary to "The Bad" and especially "The Weird". But in "The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly" we had The Man with No Name AKA Blondie, who was extremely awesome.
The Man With No Name has got to be my favorite character from a film, ever.
Well, "Source Code" is some scientific theory that works in the movie, but here is the problem, they don't know why it works, and there are about 4 different versions these military scientists came up with and nobody can figure it out, yet they are putting a military captain through it. It isn't about dreaming or subconscious stuff.
It is about a dead guy's soul becoming a "demon" to another dead guy, it's really creepy.
Okaaay then, sounds weird, I also have the same questions about Skyline.

Skyline was just... awful.
Army of Darkness + ALTERNATE ENDING!!!
Still the greatest achievement in filmmaking history. And the alternate ending? Wow. Just... wow. That would have made for an awesome Evil Dead 4.

My friend found the VHS tape in an op shop for 50c, which had the alternate ending. It's so awesome.
I must see it. Is it better then the "Hail to the king, baby" ending?
I'm not sure. It doesn't have as many awesome lines, but it's a better story IMO, though fairly similar to the ending of Evil Dead 2.

It was amazing. I want Evil Dead 4 now.
Double post. I did a review on the horrible 'A Nightmare on Elm Street' remake on my blog, check it out and please review my review: http://vikverplanken.tumblr.com/
It's not really a movie review, though. Well, it is kind of, you'll see.
Pillow, I cannot tell you how much I love your blog...

The difference between Skyline and Source Code is that Source Code is actually a good thriller.

Heh, thanks man
I've got a lot more ideas for it, so be sure to check in on it from time to time. I also plan on doing more movie reviews ![]()
Scream 4
Pretty good, definitely better then 2 and 3 but it doesn't top the first one. I'll have a full review on it on my blog sometime this week. Which reminds me, I wrote a review on "The Good, The Bad, The Weird" today, if you read it, tell me what you think: http://vikverplanken.tumblr.com/
Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. It's really cool! ![]()

Source Code: It was better than I thought it would be, and it was a quite enjoyable sci-fi thriller.
