Re: The Video Game Discussion Topic!
How do the graphics look compared to Portal 1 just curiously? I've heard a couple people say it looks like Crysis 2.

They're pretty beast.
If I have one thing to complain about it's this: the camera's in Portal 2 suck compared to those in Portal.
Low polly or just different?
Just different. They're shorter and a lot less pronounced; I don't even notice they're there most of the time.
Oh, and Portal 2 is everything I expected it to be and more.
Why'd you do it Wheatley? Why!?!
Do you have to play the first Portal to understand and play Portal 2? I am considering just skipping to Portal 2 and start playing from there.
Sort of, as it affects the behavior of Glados. But you can still solve the puzzles, might not make scene.
Improves it more to have a nostalgia effect.
You can't have nostalgia for a game that's four years old.

Portal 2 is running on an adapted version of the engine that debuted with Counter-strike: source, of course it doesn't look as good as Crysis 2.
And why is everyone referring to Crysis 2 as the visual benchmark now? Crysis is way higher specced than crysis 2.
Well, I finished the single player campaign of Portal 2 and I'm very pleased with the game so far. The co-op campaign should be lots of fun, too. There's so many achievements for that part!
Oh, and is it safe to assume that the "Rat Man" is the scientist from the Portal comic?
Hey, does anyone know where I can get LEGO Star Wars III for less than $30?
I think I will actually get Portal 2 now and I have a few questions. What was the whole deal with GLaDOS in the first one? Do you actually play as a human or one of the robots? And is it worth getting over Wind Waker?

In the first game you played as Chell, a test subject trapped in Aperture Laboratories, who ran through tests set up for her by GLaDOS. There were no co-op robots in the first game, that's a totally knew thing. And here's the deal with GLaDOS:
GLaDOS promises you cake as a reward if you make it through all nineteen test chambers, but she ends up trying to burn you alive with your "victory candescents," or a pit of fire, instead. You end up escaping and finding your way to GLaDOS's main chamber. She tries to kill you with neurotoxins, but with the time it takes to kill you with the gas you destroy her cores. A huge collapse of the main chamber ensues and you land on the surface, but you are dragged back below by the party escort.
There's a whole lot more that you find out about GLaDOS in Portal 2.
Ooh, sounds interesting. I always thought the thing about the cake was just a hidden secret in Portal, not part of the actual plot. Who would go through tons of science experiments just for some cake? ![]()

Ebay, Gamestop, or Goodwill.
Who would go through tons of science experiments just for some cake?
I would. ![]()

On a side not, I want to make a rubik's cube cover that looks like the companion cube. ![]()

Or you could just go to Teco's... So when I get the money, which should I choose? Wind Waker or Portal 2?

So Portal 2 is out...God I Must Get It.
Unilego: what's that comic thing? I saw you wrote Rat Man somewhere.

Portal 2 Comic
I'm talking about the scientist in here. There's an achievement for finding a transmission in one of the "Rat Man's" dens.

I would get Portal 2 for now. Eventually though, you MUST get Wind Waker. It's a classic Zelda game, and it's one of my favorites in the series. You have to have a GameCube if you want to play it though.
