How much time is left to the deadline? I hope to have time till thursday to complete and [possibly] edit my entry.

13 April. You only have 12-24 hours if not Jay extend the deadline.
I think entering will be a bit tough for me, as I ain't getting my iMac back until 10PM tomorrow, GMT. So editing will be rushed, and on top of that I'm spending a lot of time on my Smoovie entry, so as much as I'd like to, it seems unlikely, unless the deadline is extended.
Hopefully have my entry in soon.
Just need to finish this darned homework. ![]()
Uh...How much time do I have now?
Thanks.
Honestly, I would have added sound if I could but I had soo much homework last night, all I was able to do was animate it and put it in HD.
when does this end?
Challenge closed!
I waited until the morning in case there were any last-minute entries but it looks like we've got all we're going to get. I'll admit I'm disappointed that there weren't more entrants but I guess that's just how these things go.
The winner of this animation challenge is: MadBrick!
Feedback:
MadBrick
Nice sharp mechanical action on the robot and it really looked like it was grabbing and lifting. Nice job!
Flash Code
Some of the motion looked robotic but it would have been nice to see more effort made to have the parts (like the wheels) actually being put together instead of hiding it with editing.
Eagle Animations
Nice repetitive action but more simply mechanical than robotic.
1realgame
The robot slides and twitches - really pretty basic and hard to make out in the video.
topitmunkeydog
There were only a few small samples of mechanical action shown but they were pretty rudimentary - I'd agree that this one went off the rails somewhat.
Thanks to all of you for entering! Over to you, MadBrick!
Yeah!
The New Official Animation Challenge Is.......
Digging a Hole!
The challenge: show a minifigure, or anything that scoops dirt out of the ground digging a hole in the earth.
If you're not sure where to start, NXTManaic has a nice tutorial for this challenge which can be viewed here.
Remember, I should see the ground actually be removed, not just have a minifig pull studs from nowhere out of the ground.
There must be at least three times where dirt (or sand, or anything else really) is removed from the ground but there is no minimum time restriction.
If your entry doesn't show at least three digging motions, your entry will not be accepted.
The deadline for this contest will be: Friday, April 22 2011
Have fun animating. ![]()
Now that I've thought about this challenge I've got a good idea, nice pick Madbrick.
Too bad I didn't have time to complete animation (about 75%). And that's a shame, cause I think it coul have turned out quite good. Oh well, next time.
