Topic: Cameras Under $600

I am looking for a camera that is good for stop-motion animation (taking pictures basically) and comes with a remote which I can use to take pictures with without touching the camera itself. I'm looking for an actual camera, i'm moving up from a Logitech Quickcam Pro 9000.
PLEASE HELP!

Re: Cameras Under $600

YOu can't go wrong with a DSLR camera, Cannon is a very good brand. Make sure when you buy the camera, of course you should know, that it has manual settings.

Re: Cameras Under $600

Canon is the best at DSLR cameras.  Otherwise you could get a Logitech C910.

Re: Cameras Under $600

Why do you want an actual camera? The webcam works fine for me.

Not literally dead, just no longer interested in Lego or animation.

This is the difference between a webcam and a DSLR.

Webcam:

Any questions?

Re: Cameras Under $600

Whoa Whoa! Don't think all DSLR cameras will have that quality just out of the box, TO get those results you will need added lenses, and I think that guy stated before he uses a Canon 7D which is about 1500-2000...Never the less, yes the Camera's quality is almost guaranteed to out perform a webcam's.

Re: Cameras Under $600

Can you guys give me any specific Cameras. For example, I was originally planning on getting the Sony HDR SR7 before I saw the price........about $1,300. Again, i'm looking for under $600

Re: Cameras Under $600

It's not that webcams are bad. I know a number people on here that use them and get excellent results. My Logitech C910 can get up to 1080p. The only difficulty you might find is the settings; if you get those wrong, the quality won't seem as good as what others have gotten with the same camera.

The 7D's internals are the same as the Canon T2i's internals (around $700) the only major difference being the external body which is more durable on the 7D. Here's some pictures I took on my T2i with the stock lens it came with. They're also some of the first ones I took with it.

Re: Cameras Under $600

12.2 megapixels is more than enough for an HD-resolution video.

Re: Cameras Under $600

Yeah it says it takes 4272 x 2848 pictures.

Yes, but see you are comparing two DSLR cameras, I was comparing a DSLR camera to a webcam lol.

I wasn't comparing two DSLR's, I was simply pointing out that you don't have to spend $1500 to get yourself a DSLR like mobiledeli's like you said. Anyway...

Re: Cameras Under $600

You did compare two DSLR cameras...."..The 7D's internals are the same as the Canon T2i's" I'm not saying to spend 1500 on a camera, you can get DSLR camera for as cheap as 200,(not very good ones, in the DSLR world) and I was just pointing out the camera mobiledeli uses. So...yea..

Exactly. And I was pointing out to people who read your post and thought "oh lolz guess I won'tz be getings a dslr, to much munneh" that the same DSLR, though in a different body, is available and actually not nearly as expensive as you pointed out.
