Exactly how long has Portal 2 been anticipated for?

I say Portal 2. The replay value will be better than the Batman game, and you can play cooperatively, instead of a leaderboard style format.
I'm kinda arguing with myself wether to get either Portal 2, or Batman Arkham City, what do you guys think?
Do you even need to think about it? Portal 2, ftw!
Pre-ordered Portal 2 of Steam.
Pretty expensive, but worth every penny.
I am debating between Portal 2 or Brink for my birthday on June 7th, which do you recommend?
Also which is better for gaming mac mini (2010) or Macbook (2010)?
Thank You
Get Portal 2 so you can play with the rest of us. (Xbox 360 please, I'm not getting it for Steam just yet.)
I'd say Arkham City. The previous game was literally perfect.
As for Portal 2 it looks longer than the first one but not by much.
Isn't Portal 2 $50 on Steam? That's not that expensive compared to games on consoles ($60).
Don't buy Portal 2 on Xbox. You'll regret it. You can't cross-platform play and Valve never updates their games on Xbox because of Microsoft limitations.
@JP For $15, maybe. It's a unique puzzler. But way too short (5-7 hours).
Just skip to Portal 2.

I'm getting it on Xbox because I have more gaming friends on Xbox than I do on Steam. And yes, it is slightly more expensive, but the bonus content is better on the console for me than from Steam because I already own Portal. I can also play two player locally on the Xbox, which I can't do on the PC.
Oh, and they are cross-platforming between the PS3 and the PC, fyi. ![]()
But overall, yeah, I'd say get it for Steam if you don't have many gaming friends outside of BiM, especially if you don't have Portal, so that you can get it for free.
I know the cross-platform play is with the PS3 and PC. That's why I pointed it out. ![]()
Fair enough.
@JP It's free and quite simple to set up, FYI. ![]()

And you know that about two games that haven't even been released yet how? Sounds slightly biased. ![]()
Anyways, I say you should get Arkham City, Dukeboy. Like Tim said, the first game was nearly perfect and from what I've seen so far, the sequel is gonna rock as well.
What's so special about Brink? From what I've seen it doesn't look like anything special.
And yeah I would think Arkham City would have better replay value than Portal 2.
The trailer's badass, that's about it...

I was basing it more on my experience with Batman: Arkham Asylum, which was absolutely amazing while I was playing through the first time, but once I finished there didn't seem to be anymore point to play it. I mean, who wants to solve riddles again?
The multi-player element in Portal 2 also seems more appealing to me, if not for you. The real human (okay, droid) interaction is so much better than trying to beat the score of a random player in the Batman challenge leaderboards.

So, lemme get this straight. Portal 2 (might) have more replay value than Arkham City because...
So, Battlefield 3.

I got it off Steam because A: I have a decent computer (i5-750) C: I do not have an X-box and B: Like Portal 1 and TF2 there is more DLC.
Any brickflimers please add me as a friend on steam so that we can have a massive brickfilming game on Steam (and PS3).

So, Battlefield 3.
I'm really looking forward to this. Graphics look sweet! I enjoy the idea of a destructible environment. Currently the only game I play is BF2 so I don't know much about Bad Company and the other recent war games from EA. Looks like Dice has done an awesome job with this, though.
Thanks for your opinions guys, but I think i'll get Batman Arkham City, i'm a huge batman fan, and plus I played through arkham asylum recently, and was completly blown away.
But maybe i'll be able to get both.
