One full stop is enough thanks.

Yes a Canon Rebel Xsi is a fantastic camera. A webcam would be a serious downgrade. Try and snag some macro lenses and a nikon adaptors and lenses.

Re: Computer help...

What would you advise me to use for software... i hate monkeyjam... because when you import photos, it takes forever to process the preview...

Re: Computer help...

If you are able to chalk up 180 bucks get Stopmotion Pro Action HD It is an equivalent of Dragon without some of the features day to day animators do not use and cheaper as well.

Re: Computer help...

One more thing... my family has an imac... so what your saying... is that i should take my pictures... import them onto my Imac... edit and do all that good stuff... and then put it into Stopmotion Pro Action HD???

Re: Computer help...

Oh I didn't realize you have a Mac, in that case, if you are able to run Windows on it (in Bootcamp, Parallels, etc) then that is the only way you will be able to get Stop Motion Pro to work on your computer. But the one thing I don't understand is, why were you looking to get a 9000, if you have a Mac? They don't work together.

Also, quality wise, MJ is better than Stop Motion Pro. SMP pixelates your camera quality a little bit, where MonkeyJam keeps your original quality all the way!

Laptops are the way to go though, for an animation computer. And Windows 7 is great for animation, fyi.

Re: Computer help...

Honestly if you can I'd say try to get a mac book.

Not true, this is only for the Junior Editions, Action! HD gives full resolution and widescreen (unlike monkeyjam)
