Topic: The CGI Challenge: Creating a Bomb

Here it is, the CGI challenge!
This idea was given to me Juggernaut Pictures the other day.

The object of this challenge is to create a Bomb with your CGI skills.
The winning system works like the animation challenges; the winner of the the challenge is the one to choose the next theme.



Rules:
Use only your own work, and be creative!

I think about a week, give or take a few days, should be good for the deadline.
So, in that case, the deadline is: Wednesday, August 31st, 5:30 PM EST, 2011.

If I could make a suggestion, it might be nice to rename the thread title just to "The CGI Challenge", so that if ZP doesn't check it every day people wouldn't think it's still on the same challenge. Just a little suggestion. mini/smile

Once again, I love the idea, but I can't enter due to the fact that Blender does not work properly on my computer :'( .

Nice modeling, SLM, but the texturing looks a bit odd. Did you UV unrap the cabinet's, or did you just throw a texture onto it?

yeah, the texturing was kinda rushed
i did some quick uv mapping

I'd suggest adding a lip to the bottom of the cabinet, and adding different textures. Personally, I'd go for a darker, polished look as well.

There is some hope for me yet; I've now figured out how to pan and navigate through the 3D viewport by using the NumPad (Navigation and panning was the problem, btw). Since I'm using a laptop, it doesn't have a middle mouse button, but this laptop has a NumPad, so I can still navigate, though it won't be as easy.
