WONDERFUL NEWS! Just got back from Limerick city (Ireland), annnnd I'm Ireland's Junior Filmmaker of 2011! Yerp, you read correctly. As you might remember me mentioning I went down for a couple of days for the awards ceremony, and was given first place this morning. Over the last few days actually I've watched over 100 films, as they were all screened there, so I'm pretty wiped out, but it was definitely worth it, saw some great stuff. Anyways, for first place I got a huge commemorative plaque, a t-shirt from the film festival, and best of all - a Zoom Q3HD Handy Video Recorder, which has some seriously impressive mic qualities and films in full HD, and to top it off an accessory pack for it with various additional stuff.
And if that wasn't enough, I'm going to be on TELLY! Going up to dublin to Ireland's lead TV station, RTE, to be interviewed about my films. And, as one of the three for which I received the award is a Brickfilm, I'll most likely be talking about the community. Any suggestions on who best to mention? I'll most likely be mentioning Hazzat as a main inspiration, but I might be able to say a few others... so that'll be great fun!
