Re: What was the last movie you watched?
Compared to "Salo: or the 120 Days of Sodom" I'm not sure if "Caligula" was worst or tamer.

Apparentley Salo is nothing compared to The Girl Next Door (the 2007 film). Both sound pretty messed up, though...
Just requested "Girl Next Door" from my library.
Just make sure you don't get the 2005 film. *shudder*
Different kind of awful.
Do you mean the ones based on Jack Ketchum's novel with 2007 one? And the 2005 one, the one with Emile Hirsch?
The one with Emile Hirsch came out in 2004; the one that's an adult comedy.
Close enough. And I haven't seen the 2007 one or Salo, I just heard a friend say that it was worse.

I know but I didn't find a 2005 one on IMDB. I thought the Emile Hirsch one was pretty funny. (saw it a long time ago, though)
Now that I think about it, I only really saw snippets of it so I guess my judgement of the film overall was pretty unfair.

Actually it's a pretty darn entertaining film! The 2004 one. Elisha Cuthbert looks really HOT
Tim Olyphant plays an awesome butt kicking dude and yeah overall the movie is pretty good!
I remember that being my opinion too. I should probably see it again to be sure, though.
Taxi Driver
Such a good movie.
Predators
Bad movie, but really entertaining and funny at parts. Fun to know that one of the bodyguards from Machete directed this.
Caligula was actually an epic blockbuster.
Raging Bull
Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci are great pared together but I really couldn't care for the character, it was just sad and he had it coming.
Total Recall
Pretty epic man, the special effects were awesome, and Arnold Schwarzenneger owns man!
3 boobies!!!

I remember hating Totall Recall, but that was years ago so I should see it again. And I like Paul Verhoeven, so...
Nightmare on Elm Street (2010)
I could really relate to the characters, I felt like sleeping too. Worst remake ever ![]()

Yeah... I think it's not this film's fault people think it's bad. It's just that the original movie was really good and so I don't think there was a point in remaking it, I mean it's not like 50 years have passed after the original movie was made.
For example if you take Friday the 13th. I gotta say the remake was pretty darn good and the reason for that was that the original F13 was terrible, I mean really terrible I don't get it how F13 franchise survived so far....
Day of the Dead (2008)
I'm surprised! It was pretty good for a zombie flick by Romero (yes it wasn't actually directed by Romero it's really a remake). I recommend it for the zombie fans!
Terminator: Salvation
Hmm... a bit of a weak plot that doesn't tie into the storyline very well...
I mean, if they had really advanced Terminators, shouldn't SkyNet have sent them back in time to kill Sarah Connor, instead of Arnie's slightly outdated one? And now, because of the poor ending, we're going to have to endure a fifth movie to see the final ending...
But, the special effects were pretty good. Don't buy this though, get one of the classics, I still think the first is the best.

I definitely agree. It seems like when it comes to Terminator franchise every movie gets worse and worse. Terminator was cool, terminator 2 was ok! The third one was meh but the Salvation one is just terrible....

It's both the film being so horribly bad and Wes Craven's NOES being a horror masterpiece. The remake is one of the most terrible movies I have ever seen.

Ditto, the only good part was the actor playing Freddy, although his make-up was terrible.
and the ending is just lazy, dumb and horribly predictable.
