Battle: LA

Not horrible. But pretty unoriginal, I liked the fact that they deviated from not having scientists or presidents figuring out what to do. Instead they did the opposite.

I did not think the movie was quite bad at all, though the effects at some parts were absolutely atrocious. Some of the dialogue also could have been written better as well, but the rush, action and acting help the movie a lot. Also; if you don't like extreme action movies with blood and gore, don't bother watching this movie.

Battle: LA seems boring and stupid to me.

The New World
Quite liked it, it was shot very nicely.

Casino
Great Scorsese film, Joe Pesci was so good.

Mystery Train
Liked this a lot, Steve Buscemi was great.

Night On Earth
Good film, getting the right atmosphere for every city was done very well.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Battle: LA looks better than Skyline at least

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Anything has gotta be better than Skyline.

The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring
Damn, I forgot how good this movie was.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Broken Flowers
Really funny at parts, Murray was great. Cool soundtrack too.

Moon
First time seeing it, and I was blown away. This movie is a gem. Both in the film making and acting. The story isn't that bad either, considering it's 100% original. Sam Rockwell is the man, I haven't seen such a convincing interaction with two of the same people since The Social Network. This movie definitely deserved a lot more recognition. I hope to see more original stuff from Duncan Jones, because he's got class.

Iron Man

Love this movie, it's on my top five of best superhero movies. Very well crafted. Even though I liked Iron Man 2, I can't believe how much more I like this one.

I personally think the third and second are better, in that order. But I must say, The Lord of the Rings trilogy is one of those tiny gems in the film industry that is actually better than the books - or at least as good as them.

It's kind of a combination of 2001 and Solaris though.

Rashômon
Great film, it must have been very renovating at the time. Toshirô Mifune was hilarious. I really want to see 'The Hidden Fortress' now.

The Incredibles

This film is *sunglasses* incredible. YEEEEAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!

...Sorry... Anyway, Pixar did a fantastic job on this, I absolutely loved it. Also, the music was absolutely amazing and it has one of the coolest chase scenes ever. mini/bigsmile

Fantastic Mr. Fox

A fantastic film, in all respects. Every animator should see this one. Both the writing and direction are, in the words of Mr. Fox himself, "pitch perfect." All of the voices were perfect, and because the filmmakers went out on locations to record the voices, the ambience behind the voices really make the puppets seem real. I saw it when it first came out, but this is the first time I've seen it since then, and I do believe I'm going to add it to my favorite films list. *whistle, click click*

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

I'm confused, is Caligula parn or exploitation? I always thought it was some kind of weird parn film with famous actors?

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

It has orgies and two girls doing.....yeah. I like to think Malcolm McDowell and the other actors were tricked into doing it, since from the outside it looks like a Drama about the life of Caligula, yet for some reason it has an execution device that cuts peoples heads off (obviously historically inaccurate and gratuitous) in addition to an orgy containing some gruesomely deformed people. And there is a scene filled with male road workers almost right at the beginning....ALL of whom are naked. Plus, a lot of the movie is spliced with out of context parn videos...which were not intended for the movie.

I would say its a parn, but you shouldn't check it out if you want a parn, since some cuts of the movie are three hours long - and there is actually a story inter-cut (though not really a good one). Its not really an exploitation film since its not exploiting anything really, but it contains stuff you would find in an exploitation. Then again, I've only seen a review (I wont link to it, since this is a kids site) of it - which obviously censors everything, but the guy tells you what he is censoring.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

I most definitely don't want to see it now.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Er... I'm tempted to Google that. Now I don't think I will. KinzCove, how the heck do you find these things?

Quantum of Solace

Not bad, a decent sequel that could have been much worse. Casino Royale was still better. And Sean Connery is the best Bond.
