IDEA: The Sequential Co-operative Brickfilming Series

So i had an idea earlier, do you know those stories that people make when one guy says: Once upon a time in England, next one says: There lived a prince, and they then improvise the story, each person makes his own segment to this whole story? I don't think this has ben done before in the brickfilming industry, and i personally would love to see it happen.

The series would then star two characters, some of the most basic characters possible, made with pieces almost everyone is sure to have: EG: a blue plain shirt, blue plain pants, standard lego smiley-head and black hair(NOT FINAL DESIGN) so everyone would be capable of making them, and maybe also a bacis set, just having red walls, super-plain, rather small.

Rules:
You can not kill the character.
You have to stay, Fairly reality-bound(No Star Wars, sorry chaps)
You must have permission to use all footage, sound and music seen in your film.
You film must star the main character, and resume form where the last episode ended.
You must first ask for permission, or say that you're making an episode 'replying' to the last one, so we won't get more clips to begind form the same point in the film.
Your film must be min. 1 minutes long, and max. 3 minutes.

Probably more will be added in the future, but this is just an idea, and to see if anyone might be interested.

PS: i am welcome to take ideas for the design of the main characters.

Sounds like a good idea. I'll give it a try when I have the time.

love the idea, although I doubt this will work too well.

Re: IDEA: The Sequential Co-operative Brickfilming Series

Good idea, but maybe the time restrictions should be lower. A 30 second film would be easier to make and faster.

I agree with WTA here, a shorter restriction would attract more participants.

I say the shirt should be red, and the hair should be brown.

Re: IDEA: The Sequential Co-operative Brickfilming Series

Not going to pass judgment on the concept just yet, but it's probably worth noting that we've had a contest by the name of IDEA in the past, so you may want to reconsider using it as the title. Just a thought.

Something tells me that his inclusion of the word idea simply acts as a highlighter that this is an idea of his that he is simply promoting.

I'd deffinitly want to make one mini/smile But I think if too many people want to do this, only a handful will end up making one.

Re: IDEA: The Sequential Co-operative Brickfilming Series

This has actually been tried before. It was called Project Go and it failed because it was so boring. It was black and white, no sound, and the storyline ended up being cryptic and dull. Learn from these mistakes, my friend.
