1912: The Sea of Dread is my entry for TOY. Currently, its main plot has been made, but a script has yet to be penned. Updates will be posted here in the near future.

Plot:
In 1912, the RMS Titanic made her historical departure from Southampton to New York City, but on the way, as some say, she was hit by an iceberg and sunk into the sea, killing more than 1,000 people. But there was a secret that lies beneath it. There were a few survivors that kept a secret for over 90 years, passed on to their heritage.

It wasn't  an iceberg, but a ghost named Davy Jones....]

Another Titanic film? Good thing I left Fateful in the vaults for later. Does it seem respectful to the victims of the real event to make a film in which their fate is a ghost from a pirate movie?

Re: 1912: The Sea of Dread (BiM 2011: TOY)

Probably. It seemed interesting to mesh together a tragic story and a myth.

Err, I'm not too fond of the idea. How about a different story instead of Titanic?

The Titanic is a good topic to make a film about.  It didn't happen EXTREMELY long ago so there's loads of information.  But if RealBrick didn't stop making Fateful then there would be too many Titanic films.  And because there are 2 titanic films now it has to be really good.

Actually Davy Jones was not in any way made up just for PotC; Disney isn't that creative. Hopefully if Thunderbolt continues with this story, he will make Davy Jones not a squid-headed dead pirate who spits every other word, and will portray Jones in a more classical, mythological sense.

Honestly, the idea seems pretty bad. Tying Davy Jones to Titanic is just a bad idea. I'd suggest not doing it.

Don't worry, I won't. Squids are weird.

The idea is just meh. Please try something good.

I can make a movie about Rick Astley.

How about you make a movie about Caligula or Caesar.

Re: 1912: The Sea of Dread (BiM 2011: TOY)

Kinzcove, you have told me not to tell you what to do, how about you let him make what he wants.
EDIT: Kcribfilms, I know he is from Pirate lore, but he is most famously known as the squid man from Disney.

Personally, I don't really know if this is a good or bad idea...
But I suppose it would be cool to have some competition again  mini/smile

RealBrick: Unfortunately, that is true. Hopefully somebody will change that, but there aren't many storylines one can create with Davy Jones that show his real story.
