Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Smeagol and the others are right. Pixar films are quite predictable. Up was my most favorite from them in a while.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

I agree, Timothy. Up was a breath of fresh air for Pixar; it could be enjoyed on so many different levels, both kids and adults could watch the film. It's definitely one of their best creations ever.

I don't make Brickfilms. I trade virtual hats.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Up is just brilliant in it's first 15 min with how they do the transition of Carl Fredricksen's life and just make you emotionel with only visuals.

Rango

Well...

That was...

Different.

It was definitely good, had some entertaining, albeit odd characters that atleast for the most part avoided the cliche.
There were just a few things that bugged me.

Beans' "issue".. What was the point of that exactly? Did I miss something? It just seemed to be an oddity, nothing of value to the story.

The characters, although good as I said earlier, were never really developed all that well in my opinion.

And finally...

Spoiler (click to read)

The "Spirit of the West"... Uh.. What? What was that?! I thought at first it was all a hallucination, but no, it was real. And yes, so were the walking cactuses. I don't care if it's a movie about a talking chameleon with a revolver, walking cactuses (cacti for the picky) are just a bit too ridiculous. mini/tongue

EDIT: You picky little.. mini/tongue

One problem...

It wasn't funny.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

That's your opinion. mini/tongue

I personally thought the whole Beans issue thing was pretty funny. Also, I think the people who made the movie thought it would be okay to just include that for no reason because they thought it was funny.

I dunno.

Where do I start? This film is just... wow. I can't ever imagine a film being more disgusting and horrifying to watch
than this film. The story  is set in 1940s Italy, and Nazi-Facists kidnap 16 teenagers and torture them horribly in a remote estate. This film nearly made me puke near the end, i've seen plenty of disgusting films, but this one nearly made me vomit because of some scenes. If you don't have a strong stomach, this film is no way going to be okay for you. Consumption of poop? Yes, loads. Also there is so much sex, it's just impossible to come out of that film not feeling weird. This film is probably the first film I've ever seen that I felt sick after watching. It's just messed up.

I nearly puked after they lit the guys thing on fire.

I keep asking myself now... why the hell did my library have this on the shelf?

DO NOT SEE THIS MOVIE. DO NOT.

Don't write off Pasolini, though; he's made some good films that aren't graphic and disturbing.

"The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor" (2010)

It was definitely an interesting film, and I enjoyed it.  mini/smile  Might have liked to see a wee bit more character development, though.  mini/tongue

"UNSTOPPABLE" It was entertaining but the plot was formulaic. I knew what was going to happen right before it did.

Aliens vs. Predator - Requiem

An awesome movie if it was a fan made one mini/bigsmile the acting by the humans is pretty much terrible. The Predator himself is great cause I'm a Predator fan I like any movie with the Hunters mini/smile  The film is too dark most of the time and that's really annoying.... Anyways, it's pretty good if you're AVP fan....

Meh, I prefer the first Predator movie with Arnold.

O Brother, Where Art Thou?
Loved it, really funny movie. John Turturro is hilarious.

Ghost

What a great film. I really enjoyed it, I loved the story, and the comedy, this has got to go somewhere on my top 10 list.
The only thing I wish was

Spoiler (click to read)

that at the end, Sam went back to help that ghost on the train.

But I still really enjoyed it. mini/smile

No, I have nothing against Pasolini, it's just "Salo" was a pretty disgusting shock film.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

I saw 2012 last night.

It was okay but the duration and story was kind of lame.

Not my favorite movie but I think the story was really good.  Some scenes I thought were a little to long.
