The Last Waltz
Awesome documentary, great music.

Machete
Third time I've watched it, I enjoyed the most this time. And is it just me or was Robert De Niro doing a George W. Bush impersonation?

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

I didn't feel much George Bush apart from a smile he did a few times. I'm afraid I didn't like Machete. It was good and funny as the trailer but it felt too dull and stretched as a full movie.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb

Really funny comedy, loved Peter Sellers as "Dr. Strangelove" mini/lol
And the ending is great.

True Grit
Finally went to see it. Sooo awesome. Loved it. Wasn't a big fan of adult Mattie Ross, though. She was kind of b**chy.

A very powerful documentary. Some of it was pretty horrifying.

Army Of Darkness
Love this movie, I've probably seen it over 10 times by now. The final battle reminds me of LOTR, only more entertaining.

Jaws 2
Pretty boring.

Sukiyaki Western Django

Awesome western movie by T. Miike featuring Q. Tarantino himself! There are some great action sequences and I definitely recommend it for those who simply enjoy good ol' westerns. mini/sunnies

P.S. Loved the soundtrack too!

Yeah, I liked that movie as well. I thought Takashi Miike's "Audition" was better, though. I need to see more of his stuff.

Are you kidding? A 7.5? It deserves at the very least an 8! I found it very moving, and the actors were fantastic (mainly because of who the film managed to get ahold of, but still).

I don't make Brickfilms. I trade virtual hats.

My sister said she hated it, and that it was a waste of her money. I'm thinking about seeing it just for the fact that she hated it mini/XD .

Leap Year

Worst... film... I have ever seen. Blech, Amy Adams did a very iffy job and the irish accents were atrocious, they green screened most of the scenery and it was generally insulting to irish people.

Rango

Very excellent animated movie with quite a bit of hilarious adult humor. I loved it. Pixar done goofed this year; Cars 2 looks atrocious. Rango was more entertaining to me than Wall-E. Rango was pretty excellent in all aspects, voice acting of Beans was a little iffy at times, but I didn't take too hardly to it.

I also loved all the movie references in Rango.

127 Hours

Amazing in itself.  Could have put a little less focus on the actual cutting of his arm bit (which was gross) and more on what happens after but all-in-all a very good film.

What? The amputation was the biggest part of the story (both in film and real life), why shouldn't they put a lot of focus on it? I thought the scene was rather well-done; it didn't just show Aron cutting off his arm the whole shot; it actually created intensity by switching back and fourth, showing Aron's reactions to the pain. The editing was pretty nice.

That's true, I just personally found it gross.

But you're right, the editing was very well done.

Re: What was the last movie you watched?

I didn't even think it was that gross, I heard about people puking in the theatres etc. but when I saw it I didn't think it was that bad.

Beneath the planet of the Apes
Bad but entertaining sequel. The first movie was actually good, though.
