My friends already think I'm a nerd, so I guess I wouldn't care. Your idea sounds good, but teachers are unpredictable. My guess is, if they think you're silly for bringing in a pink guitar, they're too stupid for you to even consider their opinion. Plenty of stars use different colored instruments, a pink guitar isn't so strange or babyish. Plus, you're a girl. Pink things are to be expected.

Yeah, I'm not sure if it exactly matters. Even today, my mom drove me home like she usually does, and then I had to go onto the bus when it was stopped at my stop and shout someone's name out a bunch of times because he wasn't listening and I had to tell him that he needed to ride somewhere with us. And then my mom came onto the bus to explain to him that his parents wanted him to come and...yeah, it was a pretty big scene. Yes it was a jam packed full public school bus. BUT it doesn't matter, because people can think what they want, I only care what my friends think of me. mini/smile

J.T. - if you are truly afraid the guitar will get damaged, then wait until you see your teacher again and tell him/her your concern and ask what to do.  Otherwise, if you have a backback big enough, you could put the body of the guitar in it or use a plastic trash bag.  Of course, anything that big will attrack attention, but as the others have said, just ignore the other kids.  Lots of people take music lessons and bring their instruments to school, and I think it's great that you are going to learn how to play - pink guitar and all!  mini/smile
