Hi BIM, I understand how mcoov may be a bit upset at me for double posting. I now know that I can edit, but now that I have edited, can I delete the other pointless post that says oops?
No, you can't. Ask someone like Jargon, Noodle, or Littlebrick. They're moderators, they'll do it for you.
And to ask someone, simply click the 'Report' button next to your 'Edit' button. Report doesn't necessarily mean bad, just state the problem and what you wish to be done. Just don't do it too often i.e. double posting on purpose just to report something.

The delete function used to be open to normal members like us. Also, I was just trying to educate you on forum etiquette, and it felt like you were chronically ignoring it. That's all.
Don't worry so much about fixing your old posts as moving on and making good posts in the future. 
Jargon and Mason are right here. You can't delete your posts, but if you do want one of your posts deleted you can Report it and explain why you want it to be deleted. Also: people are pretty forgetful here, so if you make a bunch of bad posts just make it up by posting good things instead.

No, but you can edit them.
Just ask a moderator if you really want something to be deleted. It's not advised though.
If you don't wish the content in your post to be seen, simply edit your post with the following: "EDIT: Nevermind". I've done this a few times. Posts used to be able to be deleted, but that caused a few continuity problems.
