Topic: Wings?

What's the best way to make wings digitally without using CGI? I've got the rest of the body, but I just need to do the wings...if there isn't really a way, don't worry, because this is only for a test, not an actual, proper animation.

Re: Wings?

wings for a Lego Minifig? Well the old Star Wars Attack of the Clones sets had Geonosians, which had wings. Also I think there was a "Fairy Princess" that had fairy wings but I don't think that was the effect your going for...

Re: Wings?

Or you could make some out of plasticine?..

I'm not really sure how you would go about it digitally...

Re: Wings?

It kinda depends on what kind of wings you want too...:/

How do you expect a good answer with such limitations?

I would suggest creating the wings in a photo manipulation program and depending on what software you have available, transform them to give them the illusion of being three dimensional (skewing, scaling, rotating) and track their position with the minifig the wings are supposed to be attached to.

This, of course, all depends on you.

That sounds quite good. Originally, I tried doing something like that in Flash, although it didn't really work. I might try it in After Effects, though.
