Topic: Photoshop Elements and Premiere 8

Ok so I have Photoshop Elements and Premiere 8  and need to know what I can do with them in terms of editing and production. Because I didn't have the money to buy adobe after effects or anything but would like to know how much I can do with what i have.

Re: Photoshop Elements and Premiere 8

The best way to learn is by doing. If you want to do something specific, there are countless tutorials on YouTube (and other tutorial-specific sites like lynda.com), but if you just start editing things, over time you'll pick up new features as you go.

Ok, but i guess i mean more like special effects like explosions and things...

Re: Photoshop Elements and Premiere 8

You can't actually make an explosion in Premiere, but you could make one frame by frame in Photoshop using the airbrush and various shades of yellow, orange and red. Like I said, experiment!

Thanks!!! mini/bigsmile

I was also thinking I could make this into kinda a place were people can post tips and tricks for Photoshop Elements and Premiere 8.
What do you think?

Re: Photoshop Elements and Premiere 8

I think that's an awfully narrow focus, one that's unlikely to involve many users. Once you've gotten the help you want, this thread will have served its purpose.

Detonationfilms.com has some free stock footage (including explosions) that you can download and composite into your scenes using Premiere. It's easier, and will likely look better, than manually painting one.
