Topic: Substitute For Paper Over Lamps

Hey guys! Due to my mother's concern I am now forced to remove my paper from over my lamps and I now need a substitute for it. Has this happened to anyone else? If so what should I use? Any ideas?

Well, since my lights get dangerously hot, I just point them straight up at the ceiling and let the light bounce down on my set.

Off the wall if you're near one, or a white board.

Yeah, my lamps get extremely hot after being on for over a minute.  They've even burned me a few times.  But I find pointing the lamps upwards is a good substitute for paper.

I don't quite get this. But I'll look into it.

You've never noticed that shining a light directly at a wall makes the wall brighter? And that bright things give off light?

You could try multiple sheets of cooking paper. No fire risk there.

That's exactly what I use! I also leave some space between the lamp and the paper. I've animated for hours and they haven't even gotten warm.
