Topic: Inkscape Export

I was messing with Inkscape and think I have the handle on making logos with it, but when I export as a .PDF to animate in After Effects, somewhere along the way, The layers get thrown into one. Is it the format I am exporting at, is it just impossible to use the two softwares? I need to have my file in After Effects in all the separate layers at the end though. What should I do?

Re: Inkscape Export

Save it as a .svg and animate it.

Re: Inkscape Export

Well for some reason, when I go into after effects, it will not import that file type, but I'll try again and see what happens.

Re: Inkscape Export

How about each part of the logo rendered and animated serperate, or make it .ai if not .svg

Re: Inkscape Export

Just find out which formats After Effects accepts and which of them support layered images. Then export using one of those.
