Topic: Webcam Software Issue

I recently purchased a Logitech Webcam Pro 9000 (basically the QCP9000) and when I downloaded the software, I learned that Logitech made new software that removes the white balance and other necessities from your control, so my image comes out looking like crap. Where can I find a way to downgrade to the older software?

Re: Webcam Software Issue

This is what I was wondering too, because they screwed up the HD version software, but I was hoping to get the old one.

Re: Webcam Software Issue

I don't know if this is illegal, but I've uploaded the install file for the "old" Quickcam software on the interwebs. Here's the link.

Remember kiddos, ask your parents if it's alright to download this. You know people on the internet can't be trusted, and it might be a virus. (It's not, I swear.) mini/wink

Re: Webcam Software Issue

Nope, even with an uninstall with Revo, it still gives me the new one. mini/sad But in Azanzi, you can in the settings for white balance...

I have the  Logitech Webcam Pro 9000 and your disc that came with it should have the software (version1.1) that has white balance. Uninstall the new software and reinstall the software from your disc.
If that didn't work here is a link I think has it. http://www.softwarepatch.com/utilities/ … ckcam.html

Re: Webcam Software Issue

Works great! I had to download the 1.0 version for 64 bit elsewhere (http://www.userdrivers.com/Camcorder/Lo … ta-64-bit/) and then I followed this tutorial so it stopped bugging me for the upgrade.

Re: Webcam Software Issue

This is why I love this site. I recently got a QuickCam Pro and the color flicker was driving me crazy. I'd down everything i could using the software I had, but never would have thought about downgrading Now I've downgraded the software and can set my own white balance. mini/mrgreen

Glad we could help mini/smile  By the way what video editing software do you use? mini/smile

Oh and I had that same light flicker problem as well (you notice it in my film caveman) until I changed the white balance

I use Final Cut Pro.

Re: Webcam Software Issue

Hey guys! I tried out all the links on that list Jargon posted and none of them worked! Do you have any other links for Vista to the QC9P 1.0 software? Or am I just downloading it the wrong way?

So yeah, I'm back from my mind.

Re: Webcam Software Issue

What's white balance? I have that kind of webcam and there was major flickering at first, but I turned the autofocus off. It still flickers a teeny bit but I think I just need to turn the gain off of auto.
EDIT: It worked! No more flicker! I adjusted the exposure and brightness while I was at it. The picture quality looks great!
