The title says it all. What do you do to get your lighting as close to perfection as possible? Do you put your lamps in one, specific position? What usually works best? I hate having to work the lighting, so general thoughts would be nice.
I usually just move my lamp/s to a certain position. That works best for me.
That's, if I may say so, a little obvious. I do that too. Heck, probably everyone does. I'm asking: do you find it better if the light is behind the camera, to the right/left, one behind one on a side, etc.

I have my lamp either on the right or left of the set or camera.

Not one behind the camera? Interesting.
I have 4 lamps but I never use all 4, 2 are really strong and 2 are weaker. I use the strong ones for outdoor scenes and the weak ones for indoor scenes.:rolleyes:
Hmm, useful information, thanks guys. I'll need to get myself another lamp or two...
Go to GoodWill or your basement that's where I found mine.
Three-point Lighting is what seems to have worked best for me. A good fill light that has worked for me, is a gooseneck lamp, and then a normal adjustable clamp lamp for the fill light. Then I have a 1 LED lamp as the back light with a stronger LED lamp to back it up as the backlight.
I'll post pics soonish.

Goodwill is the place where you drop off used clothes and other items so that people who cannot buy said items new can get them some other way.
I have three desk lamps... i generally place one coming from above the set (it's a clamp one that i clamp to a shelf above my desk) and one on either sid eof the set... I sometimes use some smaller LED lights for special sets with a more creative lighting. I would say just mess around a while and collect every source of light you can find... experimentation is the best way to go IMO

Ok guys I just got my QC9P and I'm having trouble with the light flicker. I have two lamps set up at the left and right of the set. They have notebook paper taped on them. They are different lamps and they both give off about the same amount of light. One is a slightly , notice the word slightly, different shade than the other. What should I do?
Did you Make White Balance Manual?
Uh how do you do that?
Remove the wall.
Downgrade your webcam software to the older version with White Balance.
How do I do that?
